1. PLACES / WILLAMETTE MISSION STATE PARK TRAIL
There’s a self-guided educational trail, bike paths, and horse paths all open to hikers. Along the walk you’ll enjoy views of Mission Lake, meadows, and wildflowers. Also, the nation’s largest black cottonwood sits on the shores of Mission Lake. This 270-year old tree is more than 28 feet in circumference, and stands more than 155 feet tall. the largest cottonwood tree. During the Spring you’ll be able to enjoy lupine and other wildflowers and the wildflowers continue into Summer.  For extra fun you can choose to take the ferry to access the park (check the schedule as it is seasonally closed).
