1. PLACES / WILD TAMARIND TRAIL
A shady 1/3 mile loop within an older-growth area of the park. Has informational markers for some of the tree species. Part gravel, part mulched. This trail winds through the park’s beautiful tropical hardwood hammock, allowing visitors to view many of the area’s native hardwood species. You will even see cinnamon bark here! Very short trail but effective in making you feel like you’re in the forest.   Submitted by Liz Trueblood
