1. PLACES / TRYON CREEK CENTER TRAIL
Tryon Creek State Park has a number of trails that are little walker friendly. To start out there consider staying in the top part of the park and doing the Center Trail Loop. This is unpaved and has a lot of offshoot trails. To start head down Old Man Trail to Big Fir Trail and back to Center trail. You can broaden your loop from there as you get more confident. What we like about Tryon Creek is that there are many fallen logs and live trees to climb around on and explore. Also there is a big covered area for rainy days and a great nature center should you find your toddler isn't walking or you need to get out of the rain or weather.
