South Kitsap Regional Park

South Kitsap Regional Park is a large park located in Port Orchard, Washington.  The park has ball fields, gravel paths for biking/strollers, trails, a playground, and even a ride-on miniature train from April-October on certain days. There are two entrances to the park – one on Lund Avenue (ball fields and gravel track) and one on Jackson Avenue (playground / most of the trails).  There are two seasonal bathrooms that are closed during the fall/winter seasons. This park has a large trail system, with a trail for everyone.  There is a large gravel path that surrounds the ball fields and then continues about 1/3 of the way around the park.  There are forested trails, some that are jogging stroller accessible and some that are carrier-only. The park also features a newly opened “Explorer Trail” that is an obstacle course of sorts – complete with wooden balance beams, stairs, and ramps.
