1. PLACES / POULSBO'S FISH PARK
While this beautiful park is only 40 acres, it is laced with an impressive network of nature trails (including boardwalks) that run along an estuary that is rich with wildlife. This is a wonderful spot to view the salmon spawning in the fall and interpretive panels explain both the history and the wildlife of the area. If you arrive after a rainfall (or anytime during rainy season), there are some massive puddles for the little ones to jump in. With very little elevation gain and numerous trail options that wind through the small park, the is the perfect spot to let the kiddos take the lead without fear of getting lost. It is also stroller-friendly on most of the trails, and they recently built a natural climbing structure for kids making it fun for the whole family! Click here for a map of the trail system.
