Helpful Trail Information
Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, Playground, and Wildlife Viewing One of the farms that the trail goes past has a zebra and an emu. The horses at this farm will also come right up to the fence for attention if you stop. The zebra never does. A little further in, there’s a stature of a tyrannosaurus that we encourage kids to look for. For a paved trail, we see a decent amount of wildlife. Birds, chipmunks, squirrels, and even a snake a few times. We usually stop for lunch or snacks at the gazebo that’s at the Sadler Trailhead and then head back from there. There is sometimes a picnic table there too. If you’re into geocaching, there are a few on this trail. We sometimes encourage kids to keep hiking with the promise that we can play at the playground at Draper City Park. There are restrooms in three spots at Draper City Park, but they are usually closed in the winter. Water fountains are also shut off in winter.
Parking Details
You can park at Draper City Park or along 1300 E. The trailhead is just across the street, very clearly marked.
