1. PLACES / PARK AVENUE TRAIL
The Park Avenue Trail is a great trail for families at Arches National Park. It’s a mix of paved and dirt trail and offers really breathtaking views on all sides of towers of red rocks. The beginning is a bunch of meandering stairs that descend into the canyon. They may be a struggle for new walkers or hikers with disabilities, but the rest of the trail is totally doable. Depending on the time of year, there may be some wonderful wildflowers on the trail. In the summer, it can get very hot, so it’s important to bring plenty of water. There is no shade on this trail. It’s an out-and-back trail, so hike as far as you’d like.
