Creek / River, Mud Puddles, Picnic Area, Playground, Shaded Hike, Tree Climbing, Viewpoint, and Wildlife Viewing This hill is a host to about 20 different fox families, opossums, red tail hawks, raccoons, flying squirrels, monarch butterfly, blue jay, chickadee, cardinal, pheasant, gray squirrel, rabbit, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, skunk, garter snake, mallard duck, salamander and Canadian goose. There are paved walking paths around the base of the hill, a small open field, play ground and skate park that you can explore after the hike!
Parking Details
You can access this trail head from two parking lots, one is at the Softball Field on Killingly St., and the other at the Neutaconkanut Hill Recreation Center Parking lot on Plainfield Street.
