1. PLACES / MULE CREEK TRAIL
The Mule Creek Trail is a 6 mile out-and-back that follows along Trout Creek and Mule Creek. It begins off of Forest Service Road 75, just off of Highway 67. Leashed dogs are allowed. The trail is singletrack with some rocky areas, so it is not stroller or wheelchair friendly.  It is heavily wooded, so it’s a nice trail to do during the summer with shade.  It follows the creek and there are a variety of areas to stop and splash around in. There are some creek crossings, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. There are some aspen groves, so this would be a pretty hike during the fall as well. You can choose to hike a mile in and back for a toddler led adventure, or a carrier hike for longer distance. Near the end of the trail, it passes a cabin and you will turn around here.
