1. PLACES / DEER CREEK CANYON PARK
Deer Creek Canyon Park has several trails that hikers and equestrians can have to themselves including Meadowlark, Homesteader, and Golden Eagle Trails. On multi-use trails, mountain bikers enjoy the challenge of  “The Wall,” a steep section of rocky terrain on Plymouth Creek Trail, and pedal the 2.5-mile Red Mesa Loop. All park visitors should be aware of the risk of rattlesnake encounters. Meadowlark is the most popular loop and the most appropriate for kids. There are great views and lots of ups and downs. There is a portion of the trail that follows a dry creek bed, this is fairly steep and gets no sun, so half of the year it can be either very muddy or icy. Other than this section the hike is very straight forward. There are covered picnic tables at the trailhead.
