Helpful Trail Information

From the parking lot follow the triangles to the powers lines. Once at the power line, instead of continuing straight towards Sharon Ledges you take a right and walk up the power line road until you see a small sign on the left for Kidder Mountain. This mountain is very gradual and only a few steeper sections, no major rock scrambles... but for the littlest legs or anyone with limited mobility it might be a little more challenging and take much longer. The elevation gain is just about 400ft from the trail head to the summit. There are loads of rocks and roots, it is not wheel friendly. Carriers suggested for early walkers.

What gear would you suggest a family bring along?

Insect repellent, water, snacks, closed toed shoes, containers for wild blueberries when in season. Carriers for early walkers. Bug nets for mosquitos/flies.

What baby or child hazards are there on this hike?

Carriers recommended for small children. It isn't a difficult hike but it is long.
