1. PLACES / HALLER PARK AND EAGLE TRAIL
This park has a lot of great features, starting with a new double playground installed in 2017, and brand new bathroom facilities. There is also a large field, picnic area, and several river viewpoints with swinging benches. The Centennial Trail runs along the east side of the park and can easily be accessed from there also. Just below the viewpoints, a boat launch provides access to the Stillaguamish River. For a great kid led hike, check out Eagle Trail! The trail features an old farmhouse and barn, a manmade eagle nesting site, a creek and several bridges, and a large field with a beautiful black walnut tree. Don’t forget your puddle stomping shoes in the rainy season, because Eagle Trail has some epic puddles. In the summer, there is also quiet beach access to the Stilly if you want to wade and splash around to cool off.
