1. PLACES / DRAGONFLY TRAIL
Short and sweet, this is a great trail for toddlers walking and babies being carried. It begins with an gentle descent down to the level of the creek. In the winter months water flows through the creek and kids can enjoy identifying the animal tracks in it’s banks. There are huge saguaros, indigenous rock art, a “cave” which is a remnant from the old mining days, and plenty of shade along the creek. Mule deer, javelina, and coyotes can be seen in the area. This trail also connects to Spur Cross Trail and Tortuga Trail for a longer and more difficult hike.
