1. PLACES / CAMPBELL'S COVERED BRIDGE
This short dirt loop trail has some small hills and tree roots on the path, but it is little hiker friendly. The majority of it is well shaded. The trail starts uphill from the parking lot with a sign that says Troop 282 Loop Trail that leads you into the woods. The trail eventually bends along Beaverdam Creek and opens up to a grassy field and a historic red covered bridge. A paved trail lead back up to the parking lot. You can also walk across the bridge or play in the creek.

Helpful Trail Information

Creek / River, Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, and Shaded Hike Campbell’s Covered Bridge was built in 1909 and is the last covered bridge in South Carolina. The creek it goes over is a fantastic place to cool off in the summer. Tiny fish can be seen swimming in the shallow waters. The the creek has a gentle slope to it and you can slide down the rocks a little. There is also an old well and a grassy area to play in. There are benches and picnic tables around the bridge area.
