Bordner's Cabin - Swatara State Park

To get to the trailhead, take Sand Siding Rd and at the very end park in the parking lot.  This is a great place for puddle stomping if there has been a recent rain so consider bringing a change of clothes. Take the Swatara Rail Trail west from the parking lot for about a quarter mile to the intersection with the Sand Siding Trail. Follow the trail and cross the awesome bridge over Swatara Creek to the intersection with the Bear Hole Trail (Old State Road).  Turn left and follow until the cabin and waterfalls appear on your right. The distance from the parking lot is about 1.5 miles one way. The trails are crushed stone and great for strollers.  This is a longer route for little walkers so carriers/strollers and snacks are recommended.  Remember to wear orange during hunting season.
