1. PLACES / BLUE TRAIL AT EAGLE CREEK PARK
The Blue Trail at Eagle Creek Park starts at the 71st Street parking lot.  The trail, located at the upper part of the park, takes you through the woods, around the Bird Sanctuary, and along the reservoir. The trail offers lots of fun opportunities for kids to explore. There’s a hollow tree on the right side of the trail before crossing Eagle Creek Parkway to continue the trail to the Bird Sanctuary. The path on the Blue Trail is clearly delineated and packed dirt. There are some sections with roots and some small hills. Once at the reservoir, make sure to leave a few minutes to skip some rocks on the water. And, keep an eye out to see how many different birds you can spot! The trail is accessible year round but do keep in mind that during the winter months, the temps feel even colder on the section of trail running along the reservoir.
