1. PLACES / BEACON ROCK
This trail leads you up a short, steep trek to the top of  the PNW’s largest basaltic monolith, Beacon Rock. Beware of drop off risks for young children. This hike may be best for carriers and older kids. You’ll climb 848 feet in less than a mile so expect some intense climbing. There are plenty of spots along the way to stop and admire the view while you catch your breath. At the top you’ll be greeted with an incredible view of the Columbia Gorge.
