1. PLACES / BATTLEFIELD TRAIL
This trail take you to the Revolutionary War battleground where the Americans trapped and defeated the British troops at the Battle of Musgrove’s Mill. The most of the way is well maintained dirt trail. There is some gradual elevation gain, but no major obstacles, making it fairly easy for most young hikers. Most of the trail is shaded, but the walk through the battlefield is not. There are historical signs along the way with more information about the battle. The hike starts across the street from the Horseshoe Fall parking area, in between two handicapped parking spaces. The first 0.1 miles is along a short paved accessible trail to Horseshoe Falls. Continue down the dirt trail from there and you will see a sign  for the Battlefield Trail. A little down the way the trail will split into a loop that is designed to go counter clockwise.
