1. PLACES / WEED LAKE TRAIL
Quick and easy access to Weed Lake is possible by a short walk along Weed Lake Trail. Much of the surrounding area was burned in a major wildfire (310,000 acres) in 1947. FISHING: Rainbow Trout can be found in Weed Lake. OTHER ACTIVITIES: Due to the roadside access, Weed Lake is well suited for canoeing, which may increase fishing success and wildlife viewing opportunities. Moose, black bear, snowshoe hare, common and artic loons, shorebirds, beaver and muskrat may bee seen in the area. WINTER ACTIVITIES: Access to Weed Lake during winter months is possible and provides opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice fishing on Weed Lake.
