several loops can be done, providing approximately 3 miles, in the roughly 200-acre area; because it is one section of the Iowa River Corridor Trail, you can go either north or south for many more miles

this section of the trail is paved and mostly flat; in recent years it has been plowed during snowy periods as well there is a relatively large fishing dock about 1/2 mile from the Dubuque Street parking lot
