Starting at Pinon Valley Park, take the entrance to the park through the gate and up to the loop trail, take a left up a wide path, right at the boulders after about a tenth of a mile, drop into the canyon on a rocky decent until you hit the dirt wide trail at the bottom, take a right and another right up the scrub oak trail, and you’ll get back to the loop trail where you began.
