1. PLACES / TEXAS TOWNSHIP TRAILWAY
The Texas Township Trailway is a paved trailway (over 2.7 miles) connecting downtown Texas Corners to 12th Street & Milham Avenue. It runs parallel to Texas Drive Park, crosses through a portion of Al Sabo, over Texas Drive, and finally ends at 12th Street. It was constructed using grant monies from MDOT and MDNR, as well as Texas Township General Funds, donations from the Friends of Texas Township Parks and Trails, and the Laugh Out Loud 5K Run. The trailway is open for bike and pedestrian traffic. Parking is available at the Al Sabo parking lot on Texas Drive and overflow parking is available at either of the Texas Drive Park parking lots. Please note that parking on Texas Drive is prohibited.

Helpful Trail Information

Bike Trails, Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, Playground, and Shaded Hike Texas Township Trailway is an easy trail that is accessible to walking, biking and strollers. You can also explore the Al Sabo Land Preserve (which is not stroller friendly on most trails) or Texas Township Park on the South side of Texas Drive.

Parking Details

Parking is available at the Al Sabo parking lot on Texas Drive and overflow parking is available at either of the Texas Drive Park parking lots. Please note that parking on Texas Drive is prohibited. Bathrooms are available in the park, not along the trail itself.
