1. PLACES / STOUT GROVE TRAIL
This quick, short trail leads through a 44-acre grove of old-growth coastal redwoods. The lush ground covering of ferns and redwood sorrel (resembles clover) combined with the dense forest create a magical experience. From the trailhead, you’ll head downhill to the flat, well-maintained loop trail. This trail will come to a junction with two other trails.  If you’re taking the loop clockwise, the first junction you arrive at will take you to Smith River and the campground via Hiouchi Trail and Mill Creek Trail. The second junction connects to River Trail which will lead you towards Little Bald Hills Trail.
