1. PLACES / SPRAGUE LAKE LOOP
This is a nice, groomed, flat 3/4-mile trail around Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is about a 15-minute drive once you enter the park and is heavily trafficked, particularly by families. It’s a great option if the Bear Lake parking lot is full. The views are great, the trail is kept up very well and there are picnicking areas. The trail is great for toddlers—just make sure they don’t head off the trail and into the lake! There are lots of fish and ducks to watch in the lake. Bears, moose and elk also frequent the area so be on the lookout!
