Enjoy this 2.0-mile loop trail near Sparks, Nevada. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 37 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, fishing, and road biking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. A paved, urban multi-use trail around the scenic Sparks Marina that is open to foot and bike traffic, fishing and boating as well as swimming. Features include views of Mt Rose and Peavine Mountain. This trail is close to restaurants, a theater and shopping. The park is open daily from 6 AM to 10 PM. Accessibility: There are at least 6 designated accessible spaces in the large paved parking lot off of Howard Drive at the northwest end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved concrete (with partial railings) and smooth. It is typically at least 6 feet wide (with many wider passing spaces). There is a painted dividing line along the trail which reduces the width. The majority of the trail is estimated to be in the mostly gentle grade category (5% or less). This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users. There are benches and picnic tables along the route for resting. There are wheelchair-accessible bathrooms at the northwest end of the trail. There is a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier with level access, railings of 34 inches or less, and turn-around space.
