1. PLACES / SHANK PARK
Shank Park provides a great meeting point for walking along the Jonathan Eshenour Memorial Trail. Shank Park is the largest of the Township’s eight parks with a total of 90 acres. Centrally located, the park is the host of many recreational events. Shank Park provides numerous fields for team sports including two baseball fields, two softball fields, two soccer fields, a popular disk golf course. Shank Park is the perfect location for a family picnic with a playground, swings, a sandbox, pavilions, and barbecue grills. Handicap accessible restrooms are available. An interpretive nature trail is a treat for outdoor enthusiasts. The Friends of Parks and Recreation offer instructional nature walks mid-May through late September.
