1. PLACES / SAND CREEK TRAIL
The Sand Creek Trail has 2 segments and are not connected.  The north segment is a 3.9 mile paved and dirt trail that starts at the E Woodmen Road and Marksheffell Road intersection and ends at Barnes Road.  Along this section you will pass along the Sand Creek Trail duck pond and the Stetson Hills Open Space.  The trail is mostly exposed, so bring layers and sun protection.  The trail is used for runners, walkers, and bikers.  All strollers can be used on this trail.  There are access points in between. The south segment is a 4.3 mile dirt trail that is in between the El-Pomar Youth Sports Park and Wildflower Park.  You can access the trail from either park, and along the path you will pass the Southeast Armed Services YMCA, which is another access point.  The trail is mostly exposed, so bring layers and sun protection. The trail is used for runners, walkers, and bikers.  All strollers can be used on this trail.  In this section of the trail there is an area where you can find some creek play during the summer.
