1. PLACES / RACEWAY TRAIL
Raceway Trail in Raceway Woods was the site of the Meadowdale International Raceway in the 1960s. Today, it is a wide 2-mile asphalt loop with a few steep hills, two bridges, shady trees, and a carpet of beautiful meadows. The surrounding preserve is popular with mountain bikers, although they usually leave the Raceway Trail to runners, walkers, and strollers. This is a beautiful hike with many serene views, although the hills can be a tough, but fun, challenge for small legs. The trail is open sunrise to sunset.   Submitted by: Heather Hoffman
