Pine Mountain

Pine Mountain is a beautiful trail that gains 620 feet over the first mile to the David Archer Overlook. The overlook provides stunning views on a clear day of Lake Allatoona, Kennesaw Mountain, Downtown Atlanta, Sandy Springs, and Stone Mountain. The short climb is worth it for the beautiful view. The trail has many switchbacks, beautiful rocks with lichen, and is a great place to view the fall foliage. There is an additional loop on the backside of the mountain that you can do to increase mileage to 4.3 miles.   Submitted by Lisa Harris
