1. PLACES / LEVITZ PARK-OMNI STONE TRAIL
The Omni Stone Trail (marked in green on the map) is a path covered in stone pavers creating a handicapped accessible trail which ends at a bird blind–a small structure which you can sit in and watch the birds. There are benches along the path, it crosses a small creek. This creek would be accessible for puddle splashing, take care during high water/flooding. Stroller friendly. This trail is listed with the Pennsylvania Birding and Wildlife Guide. (See resource links) Text from the Omni Stone Trail picture: “This trail is dedicated to the efforts of the PA Conservation Corps and SHADE (Students Helping Aid the Disabled and Elderly). The trail is designed to accommodate the physically handicapped and elderly and will lead you to an observational bird-blind. Follow the stone walkway and enjoy a quiet stroll along a mountain stream.”
