1. PLACES / OAK ISLAND TRAIL
Located in the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area, this is a short flat loop with great views of fields and birds. This is a good one for new walkers to negotiate where parents don’t need to be nervous about anything. This area is open to hikers only seasonally, from mid-April to the end of September. You can pick blueberries in this park and get great views of Mt. St. Helen’s.

Helpful Trail Information

Mud Puddles and Wildlife Viewing Great wildlife. Excellent birdwatching. Very flat trail so could use an all terrain stroller if it’s not muddy. Really good for walking dogs as well as there is a lot of open terrain.
