Helpful Trail Information
Creek / River, Mud Puddles, Picnic Area, Shaded Hike, Shelter, and Wildlife Viewing Following this loop allows you to experience varying terrain and vegetation. You’ll pass over a creek via bridge, through some evergreen forests, walk past some lovely large rocks, and through a meadow section. This trail loops you a little further out from the park road, so it tends to be a bit quieter than the other trails in this section of the park. As you continue on, you’ll come closer to the road, giving you access to alternate trails if you’d like to vary your route, including the paved walking lane along the road should you need to cut your trip a bit shorter. The county parks app will allow you to pick a trail and follow along via your GPS. Trails are also used by mountain bikers, so please remember to keep alert so you can step aside and let them pass.
