North Bay Park

Migration season is the best time to visit North Bay Park. Ford Lake is a hot spot for migration, but you’ll always see a variety of birds any time of year. You’ll walk partly on a paved path, until you hit Ford Lake and the boardwalk. You’ll find fisherman often fishing along the trail and sometimes even muskrats and turtles sunning themselves. If you’re allowing your little ones to walk, please keep them close. There is a fence along the boardwalk, but small guys could still fall in. Half-way through the hike, there’s an observation tower that you can climb for a better view of the lake and the golf course. Islands with bridges dot the other half of the hike. Watch your step, there is ALWAYS goose and duck poop and there is no fence, so keep your eye on little ones. There isn’t much shade, so put sunblock on!
