1. PLACES / MT. TABOR
Mount Tabor is the name of a volcanic cinder cone in the middle of SE Portland. It’s a popular area for families because the trails are easy and there’s a great park in the middle of it. This is a very stroller friendly area. Also good for dogs on leashes. This park is great for new parents because you can stroller and hike. There are picnic areas, a dog off-leash area, natural surface and paved paths, a playground, a performance stage, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Also a great place to have a go at using a jog stroller with a baby because the roads are mainly car free and mellow. Finish a hike off here with a session in the playground if you have toddlers and preK.
