1. PLACES / MILLER MEADOW BLUE TRAIL
Located in Chicago’s western suburbs, the paved Miller Meadow Blue Trail takes you through a popular birding area with views of the tall wild teasel fields. The ample sidewalk is great for kids learning to ride a bike, caregivers pushing strollers, or just a leisurely stroll. Make sure to wear sunscreen or wear protective layers as this trail is fully exposed to the sun’s rays. This loop is used for recreation in all seasons, turning into a cross-country skiing venue in the snowy winters. This trail has numerous areas to access the trail, and no official trailhead, so if you are meeting with a group make sure to double-check where your starting point is.
