1. PLACES / MERCHANT'S MILLPOND STATE PARK - COLEMAN TRAIL
This 2-mile loop offers beautiful and secluded hiking. The route takes you down to a view of the millpond and features long stretches of green mossy trail, lovely foliage in the fall, and several small bridges (always popular with kids). This is a Kids in Parks TRACK trail and has kid-friendly brochures, including a scavenger hunt, at the trailhead. Exposed roots and incline changes mean that this trail is not good for any wheels. Bugs and snakes make this trail best for cooler weather. The trailhead is located in the boat ramp parking lot, off of Mill Pond Rd. There is a restroom at the trailhead.
