1. PLACES / MENOMONEE PARK
Menomonee Park, one of eight Waukesha County Parks, is home to what locals may know as “Lannon Quarry”. Here you can find several historical remnants from the quarry’s operational days in the late 1800’s, including an old stone crusher and old building brick walls as you hike around Lannon Pond. The beach area features a newly remodeled bath house and a playground and picnic areas. There are paved options here, whether looping around the roadways inside the park or hopping onto the Bugline Trail just adjacent. Also, multiple options for wooded trails are provided, anywhere from .3 to 3 miles in length. This park is an excellent t place to experience nature and history all in one.
