1. PLACES / MCCOLLUM PIONEER PARK
This little park may not look like much, but it is definitely worth a visit. The playground is small, but the real treasure lies behind the playground on the other side of North Creek. Forest Loop is a one mile lollipop loop that runs the length of McCollum Park. The small salmon stream runs through it all year and makes a great place to splash in the summer. There is also an on again-off again fort that gets built and knocked down in the forest that the kids love to climb all over. Make sure to stop by the stream center to learn all about the efforts being made to restore the salmon stream. Also, if you’re in need of a longer, adult paced walk, this park has access to stroller friendly North Creek Trail. You can walk 2 miles from the park to Mill Creek town center for a cup of coffee or a donut, and then 2 miles back.
