1. PLACES / LOWER FALLS TRAIL
This is a perfect trail for families of all ages! It’s a gravel trail to a scenic water fall in Cunningham Falls State Park. The trail is 0.6 miles to the falls and 0.6 miles back making it a doable 1.2 mi hike. Our toddlers started doing this trail with a little assistance as soon as they could walk. We’ve also been able to use our jogging stroller as well. This 78-foot waterfall, among the largest in the state, is easily accessible by two short trails. The path is well taken care of and almost completely shaded which helped a lot on a hot August day with kids. The falls was awesome with a few small spots the take a quick dip. Once at the falls there is a small viewing area were you can take a seat if you don’t want to cross the rocks and sit at the base of the falls.   Submitted by Rachel Rhinehart
