1. PLACES / LITTLE RIVER REGIONAL PARK: RIDGE TO CONNECTOR TO SOUTH RIVER LOOP
This is a favorite short loop within Little River Regional Park that is primarily wooded, with sections on gravel, dirt, rock, and boardwalk. There are several rockier sections and a few small stream crossings with bridges. Starting at the bathroom building, take the paved loop to the left until it dead ends on the gravel fire road a few hundred feet away. Follow the fire road for approximately 0.5 mile until you see the sign for the Ridge Trail on your left. Take the Ridge Trail for another 0.3 mile until it intersects with the Connector Trail on your right on the boardwalk. Turn right onto the Connector and follow until it Ts into the South River Trail. Turn right onto South River Trail and follow another 0.3 mile to the intersection with the fire road again. Bear right onto the fire road to return to the parking area.
