This is a flat trail that goes through wooded and marsh areas, and features 10 informational signs about different aspects of the ecosystem.  The first half of the loop is dirt trail through the woods, the second half is a series of boardwalks.

Helpful Trail Information

Creek / River, Lake, Picnic Area, Playground, Shaded Hike, Shelter, Viewpoint, and Wildlife Viewing There is a nice playground near the trail head, with separate areas for older and younger kids. There is also a picnic shelter here. The beginning of the trail features a large bridge over the Reedy River. he highlight of the loop is the West Bay overlook, a small dock with benches that overlooks a lake.  Snakes, turtles, fish, and a variety of birds are often sighted.  There is also a beaver dam visible from the overlook.
