Lake Hodges: San Dieguito Trail to Lake Drive Loop

San Dieguito Trail to Lake Dr. Loop is about two miles around and rated easy. As you enter the trailhead, stay right on San Dieguito trail. Here the lake should be on your left and it is a single track trail close to the water with rolling hills. Once you go about a mile you will reach the Lake Dr. fire road intersection. You can keep going on San Dieguito trail for another couple miles, or to complete the loop turn right on Lake Dr. It is a gravel fire road and you will know you are going the right way of you go around the gate in the pictures below. Lake Dr is flat and will take you back to the parking lot. Restrooms: There may be one porta potty in the parking lot.
