1. PLACES / KEN-O-SHA PARK
Ken-O-Sha Park is located adjacent to Ken-O-Sha Elementary and is a trailhead for the Plaster Creek Trail. The paved out and back trail begins at Ken-O-Sha Elemantary parking lot and stretches 1.5 miles to Eastern Avenue. Branching off the paved trail are 3 miles of single track natural surface trails that wind through  beautiful wooded areas along the Plaster Creek. Because of the tight turns and rough terrain, this area is known for mountain biking, but you will rarely see them.  You’ll want to keep the littlest hikers close due to steep drop offs along the creek. Please note the Plaster Creek Trail is stroller-friendly, but the offshoot natural surface trails are not.

Helpful Trail Information

Bike Trails, Creek / River, Playground, and Wildlife Viewing After about 1/4 mile on the Plaster Creek Trail, you’ll see a yellow marker on the right. Take that to the bridge to get to the other side of the creek. From there you’ll find wood beams to balance and climb on. Beyond that there are several makeshift bridges along the way to cross. During Grand Rapids Pulic School breaks and after school hours, there’s several playgrounds tucked around the south end of the building(past the basketball courts).
