1. PLACES / INDIAN CREEK GREENWAY - FRONTIER PARK
From Frontier Park in Olathe, you can access the Indian Creek Greenway, which is a 17-mile paved walking/biking trail following Indian Creek from Olathe to Kansas City, MO. It is mostly flat/low grade and is popular with pedestrians, dog walkers, joggers, and cyclists. Fontier Park itself offers a playground, picnic shelters, and port-a-potties. There are also open fields for frisbee, soccer, or kite flying. Walking south from Frontier Park provides a shady, treed hike. Heading north, there is a fork in the trail which will either dead end at a neighborhood or travel for a little ways along 127th street before going back off road.

Helpful Trail Information

Bike Trails, Creek / River, Mud Puddles, Picnic Area, Playground, Shaded Hike, and Shelter After rains, there can be great puddles for splashing in, and since the trail is paved, they’re typically not very muddy. This particular section of the trail has two nearby spots where it goes under a bridge, one a short distance to the north (Black Bob Road), and another down at 135th St.
