1. PLACES / ICE AGE TRAIL - ZANDER PARK - CROSS PLAINS - WI
A portion of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail (Ice Age Trail) in Cross Plains, WI winds through H. M. Zander Community Nature Park (Zander Park) on paved sidewalk/bike path. There are also boardwalks and bridges that cross the Black Earth Creek. The Rosemary Garfoot Public Library displays a StoryWalk® on the fence along part of the trail near the Ice Age Trail Alliance headquarters. You can explore this area in an out-and-back fashion, take side trails, or walk in a loop from start to finish.

Parking is available along Mill Creek Parkway and the lots of several area businesses.

Additional Information

People can take their dogs for walks on-leash on the sidewalks/through the park. It is a mostly flat path with some incline over boardwalks and bridges. Bikes allowed, and wheelchair and stroller friendly. Fishing allowed and 2 handicap accessible fishing stations. Several informational kiosks about the natural environment.
