1. PLACES / HIBERNIA COUNTY PARK - FORGE TRAIL
The Forge trail runs along a creek, and also features small pond with a dock.  There are multiple creek access points for kids, and in many places it is shallow and not too fast moving for little ones – lots of rocks so water shoes are helpful here.  The pond and one access point for the creek have picnic tables to allow for snacks, and portable restrooms at the pond as well. We typically complete this hike as an out and back to the pond (about .3 miles each way with lots of creek play along the way) but also has the opportunity to continue on and loop over the kid friendly Lake Trail.
