Henry Clay Furnace Trail

This is a beautiful, rocky out and back trail that leads to an old abandoned coal burning furnace, the only remaining structure from a small coal mining community. The trail starts off downhill and winds through a beautiful West Virginia hardwood forest and ends where the furnace is, along with a winding stream to throw rocks and dip feet in and two foot bridges.
