1. PLACES / GUNPOWDER SP: JENNIFER BRANCH
This short trail is tons of fun in the summer—-especially combined with picking fresh fruit at many of the area berry patches. Do not attempt this hike if it has recently rained or has been raining frequently as this area easily floods. Park at small shoulder lot on northbound side of Harford Rd. Enter trail at information sign. Follow along in the dense shade and perhaps a dozen muddy sections until you reach the Jennifer Branch. Wander this rocky area upstream for 1/10 of a mile. When the stream turns left turn back. This is a great stay, play and explore nature stream. You’ll find many aquatic species as long as you take the time to watch.
