Guajome Regional Park is a fun park with large playground, pond, easy hiking trails, and camping. There are many different trails and you can make your adventure shorter or longer depending on what your family needs. Bathrooms are located next to the parking lot. Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome. As a friendly reminder, if you want to feed the ducks and geese, please bring them duck food or vegetables. Bread and other human food is not good for them.
The following description is for our favorite 1.25 mile easy flat loop. Though they are all stroller friendly paths, a few of the bridges on this particular loop may be too narrow for a double wide stroller to fit, I have not personally tried it.
Starting from the parking lot, take the paved path that goes around the park down to the pond. Once you reach the pond, turn left. Follow along this wide path with the pond to your right. The path will split at the end of the pond, take the right path. Immediately afterward you will swing left and go over a small bridge (picture with red line). Follow this path over a few bridges. This path is lovely in the spring and usually surrounded by wild flowers! Please watch young kids because parts of this path have poison oak off to the side. You will eventually reach a clearing, where you will see the campground to your left and a bridge that branches off your path. You can continue to go straight to make this hike longer, otherwise take the path over the bridge and then immediately take the path to your left, making a U-turn (picture with blue line). From there continue along the path until you reach the pond again, then turn right back on to your original path. Take this path past the pond, then back to the park.
