1. PLACES / FORNEY COMMUNITY PARK TRAIL
This is a paved path located around the Forney Community Park. The trail is good for hikers, joggers, and can fit 3 strollers wide in most sections. The trail is shaded for .75 mi starting at the playground area and going towards the amphitheater. There are several bridges with minimal incline, but there is a creek that runs through the area so bring bug spray! If you park near the baseball fields and start from there, the trail is a 2 mile loop. If you park near the playground and walk the loop, it’s 1.25 miles. The community park is located near the Justice Center/Police Department and is quite safe as there are usually a couple police officers patrolling the area.   Submitted by Rachel Mendoza
